SMALL SET BACKS

Today is the day for me to post that  something in my back is not working properly.  Right now it is difficult for me to type or sew.

The Physical Therapist has hopes that my muscles will improve soon.  For a while I will be taking things a little slower.  That’s OK.  I’ll spend a little more time dreaming and enjoying other pleasures in my life.

Happy Hugs,  Kathy

GOALS FOR FEBRUARY AND RESULTS

1. Finish the OP challenge, make it into a table runner ( from Pat Slones site).  RESULT – Well, I stitched all the blocks and figured out the lay out of the table runner.

2. Make five sets of coasters for the Embroidery sale room. RESULT – Sewed 10.

3. Finish the Addy Quilt.  RESULT -  Finished the top.

4. Organize (more like find) items that need to be finished. Think I have around 27 UFO quits. But where are they?   RESULTS – Found some of them. Still looking for the rest of them.

5. Complete CQ RR. RESULT – Completed and sent.  YEA!

At Least I completed TWO of my goals.

GOALS

My latest idea is to have goals every month.

Some time around the first of the month my plan is to list my goals.

Next month, along with my new goals for the month, there will be an update of what was finished the past month.

Hopefully, this will happen on a regular basis.

It is already 12 of Feb, but here are my goals.

1.  Finish the OP challenge, make it into a table runner ( from Pat Slones site).

2.  Make five sets of coasters for the Embroidery sale room.

3.  Finish the Addy Quilt.

4.  Organize (more like find) items that need to be finished.  Think I have around 27 UFO quits.  But where are they?

5.  Complete CQ RR.

OK at least this is a start. I need to make my list of what needs to be done before I can make more goals.  If you don’t know what you have to work on, you can not make to do lists.

Kathy

When this stitch talks to me, it only says, sew me in swirls, sew me in swirls.

Any ideas on how to embellish this stitch?

CHICKEN AND HENS

The world of technoligy is wonderful.

My wonderful friend Joleen is learning how to sew patchwork.

Joleen lives in Kansas and I live in Australia.

The computer is helping us help each other.

This is for Joleen.

This makes a 9 inch block.

As soon as I get home I will include the cut sizes.

HAD TO

Ok Ok, I was not finished with Skyes’ block. I looked at it and the seam between the pink and white just did not look balanced. So I added just a little more.

I am happy now and now I will send it on.

HOW TO CHOOSE A PUPPY/DOG

I don’t know about TV coverage in the states but the TV coverage of the the President of the US choosing a dog is receiving alot of air time in Australia.  It is not a difficult process to choose a puppy/dog.

As a child we always had dogs. In my adult life I still have dogs. Can not imagine my life without our loved pets.

This is the way we choose a puppy/dog.

1.  Go by the dog pound. Walk around, look at all the dogs.  You just might fall in love with a dog immediately.  Somehow you will know if the dog belongs in your family.  If you don’t bond with a dog at the dog pound, you then go to the next step.

2.  Walk around the malls,  dog stores,  friends homes who have puppies.  One of the puppies, will melt your heart.  That is the puppy you take home with you.

There is no great big decision.  It just happens.  When you see the right puppy, you will know.

That is what we do in this family and we will stick to it.

Kathy
